SEPT-ILES, Que. - The Olympic flame will commemorate Remembrance Day with a stop at CFB Goose Bay.
The torch relay for the 2010 Winter Games will move from Sept-Iles, Quebec, Wednesday morning to the town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, Wednesday night.
CFB Goose Bay is operated by the Canadian Forces Air Command and while the Olympic flame is there, it will be carried by a 20-person team of all ranks.
Tuesday, the flame was carried through the northern village of Kuujjuaq, Quebec, where one torchbearer took the flame for a ride on a dogsled.
The relay moved to Gaspe, Quebec, later in the day, where torchbearers were serenaded by traditional accordion music and songs known in the region.
The 106-day Olympic torch relay will span 45,000 kilometres and visit more than 1,000 communities.
