A new report says that a second federal cabinet minister had a run-in with airport security.
CTV News has stated that veteran affairs minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn tried to take a bottle of tequila through airport security in Ottawa last month.
The bottle exceeded the 100 millilitre limit for carry-ons, therefore, airport security refused to allow it on the plane.
CTV, which attributed the report to unnamed sources, said a heated argument ensued.
However, the television network said that Blackburn's office issued a statement confirming that security confiscated a bottle of alcohol which he could not get it back, but he respected security's decision.
The incident reportedly occurred on February 23rd, just days following an altercation at Charlottetown's airport involving junior cabinet minister Helena Guergis.
