The ballots have been counted and workers at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel have voted 86 percent in favour of strike action.
But members of the union and the hotel are slated to return to the bargaining table Thursday in hopes of reaching a deal before the Friday deadline.
Workers - who have been without a contract since July - said they are frustrated the hotel is demanding concessions as they reap the benefits of events like the Toronto International Film Festival.
If a deal is not reached by Friday's midnight deadline workers said they are prepared to stage a one day strike.
