Aurora man charged in connection to numerous thefts

A 19-year-old man has been charged and police have recovered more than $ 10,000 in stolen property after a recent string of thefts from parked cars in York Region.
At least ten high-end vehicles were targeted in recent weeks in Newmarket, Aurora and East Gwillimbury.
The suspect was arrested Tuesday by officers who spotted a man driving a stolen Jaguar in Newmarket
A search of the suspect's personal vehicle turned up expensive sunglasses, GPS units, laptops and credit cards - all of which were stolen.
Vincent Tam, of Aurora, faces the following charges:
- Theft under $5,000
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime x 10
- Possession of stolen credit cards x 3
- Use stolen credit card x 8
- Fraud under $5,000 x 8
- Utter forged document
Tam has been released from custody and is slated to appear next before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Aug. 24.
