Toronto detectives arrest international fugitive on the run since '03

Toronto police have arrested a man wanted in the beating death of a man in the U.K.

Detectives said Mohamud Mahad, also known as Kalid Sharif, fled to Canada seven years ago.   

South Wales Police said witnesses saw Sharif beating another man in April 2003 after an altercation involving a group of men. The man later died.

Sharif is  slated for a court appearance at the University Avenue courthouse on Thursday morning.
