TORONTO, Ont. - The search continues in midtown Toronto for two suspects after shots were heard following two robberies Wednesday morning.

Police told 680News they've arrested three people so far and are searching a section of Mount Pleasant Cemetery, near Mount Pleasant Road and St. Clair Avenue East.

A female was one of the three arrested.

Police said the suspects robbed a grocery store in the Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West area before driving up to Yonge and St. Clair where they were confronted by police.

The suspects took off on foot and officers reported hearing sounds of gunshots, although no officers were wounded.

Police confirmed one shot was fired, but were unable to say who fired it or who the target was.

At least two schools in the --  Deer Park Public School and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School -- were in "hold and secure" mode, but that has since been lifted.
