Pedestrian dead after being struck by vehicle in Pickering

The intersection of Kingston Road and Brock Road in Pickering has been reopened after a pedestrian was struck Saturday evening.

The male victim who was taken to hospital in Durham region suffering from life threatening injuries has died.

Durham police tell 680News the man who is believed to be between 50 and 60 years old, was walking in an area with no traffic lights when he was struck. They say he did not have any identification with him.

No charges have been laid nor have any arrests been made.

Police confirm this is not a hit and run case.
