Toronto Police holds family skate event on Friday

680News staff Mar 18, 2010 21:30:01 PM
41 Division, as well as the Community Police Liaison Committee, Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, and ProAction, are inviting families to participate in Toronto Police's 4th annual Family Skate Day Friday at the Don Montgomery Community Centre in Scarborough.

The event will be held between noon and 2:00 p.m. at 2467 Eglinton Avenue East (near Midland), and is free to the public. Although people are asked to bring helmets, skates will be provided for those children who do not have any. Police thank the public for donating over 100 pairs of skates to the cause.

Police plan to skate with the public, and well known Toronto mascots from the Leafs and Marlies will also be in attendance.
