TTC bus driver who was drunk going to lose her job

It's looking like the TTC bus driver who had her bus pulled over and failed a breathalyzer test after passengers called 911 is going to lose her job.

TTC Chair Adam Giambrone said while the commission will decide the woman's fate Wednesday, their decision will not be made public.

The female driver was handed a 72-hour suspension Friday after she took her bus with passengers on it, down the wrong road near Dawes and Danforth Avenue and a worried passenger dialled 9-1-1.

The Toronto Star reported the TTC approved a drug and alcohol testing policy 18 months ago.

The screening test for new hires is now in effect went but testing for existing staff won't begin until August.
