March break getaway underway

TORONTO, Ont. - It's the break many parents have been waiting for as March break begins this weekend.

And for some, it begins Friday with a P.A. day.

For those getting away by airplane, Pearson International Airport is reminding travellers this is one of the busiest times of the year at the airport.

Airport officials expect to see 91,000 passengers Thursday and another 98,000 on Friday.

On a typical day, about 84,000 passengers pass through the airport.

During March break, more than half a million passengers will travel through Toronto, which is equivalent to the entire population of the City of Waterloo.
