Canadian Auto Workers kick off a three-day meeting in Toronto this weekend.
President Ken Lewenza is expected talk about the federal government's use of back-to-work legislation, the Prime Minister's omnibus crime bill and other concerns facing workers across the country.
The union will also pay tribute to the late Jack Layton and the 20th anniversary of the white ribbon campaign. Layton was a founder of that movement.
Olivia Chow will be speaking Saturday at 11 a.m., paying tribute to her late husband.
