TORONTO, Ont. - There was a change of heart, Monday night, at a school meeting about a ball ban at Earl Beatty Public School.
After the heated meeting between parents and school trustees, the principal lifted a ban on balls imposed two weeks ago.
Trustees say the restriction against hard balls has always been part of the schools code of conduct.
Original restrictions say tennis, Nerf and basketballs are acceptable but soccer balls are not allowed.
The ban was put in place after a parent suffered a concussion from being hit in the head with a soccer ball.
The school will be sending a letter home to parents to clarify the new rules.
