According to a "recession relief coalition" report, the only way to stop the growing rate of hunger in Ontario is by increasing wages and investing in income security programs.
The report also recommended improving access to community food programs and affordable housing.
The recommendations were put together by a six-member panel after a hunger inquiry in late November.
The Recession Relief Coalition's full report is expected to be released in January.
