Special watch helps families of Canadian soldiers

Colin D'Mello and 680News staff Dec 21, 2009 13:54:41 PM

In a growing effort to help the families of fallen Canadian soldiers, a Toronto woman has designed a watch that serves as a tribute to Canada's mission in Afghanistan, while raising money for military families in Toronto.

With a golden maple leaf embedded into the face of the Afghan mission watch, Robin Devine, president of the watchmaking company, Time is Ticking, designed it as a token of appreciation.

The money funds the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre, where Mike Bulger said families have support, and video links to Kandahar.

Bulger bought a watch for his son, who's currently serving in that region.

People can buy a watch at www.timeisticking.ca, or call Robin Devine at 416-925-5520
