Olympic flame makes its way to Alberta today
Alberta - The Olympic flame made its way to Alberta, Friday, on the next leg of its cross-Canadian journey.
The torch will be visiting Grande Prairie, Atla. first, where a community welcoming celebration will be held at a local park.
The flame will then move on to Fort McMurray.
The 2010 Olympic torch relay will wrap up Friday at a Canadian Forces base in Cold Lake, Atla.
It's day eight of the 106-day trek that will cover 45,000 kilometres and visit more than 1,000 communities.
The Olympic flame will arrive in Vancouver, B.C. on February 12 for the opening ceremony.
Saturday will see the torch move through Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
