"Change has come to America" -- with those words, Barack Obama addressed U.S. voters who elected him as their 44th president, Tuesday.
He broke the racial barrier to become the the first African-American president in U.S. history.

John Sidney McCain III is the senior senator from Arizona, who has been in office since 1987. Prior to that post, he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Arizona's 1st district from 1983-1987.

During the primary or caucus, voters in each state elect delegates, with each delegate pledging to one.
