H1N1 vaccine clinic hours extended for Toronto
Toronto - Toronto Public Health has extended its hours for the H1N1 vaccination clinics, effective Thursday.
The clinics will now stay open later weekday evenings and open on Sundays.
All clinics are for priority groups only.
The 10 clinics on Monday to Friday will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The clinics on Saturday will continue to operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Five of the 10 clinics will be open on Sunday from from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They include:
- Metro Hall
- East York Civic Centre
- North York Civic Centre
- Etobicoke Civic Centre
This expansion now means the city's vaccination clinics will now run seven days a week.

Associate Medical Officer of Health Dr. Barbara Yaffe said Toronto Public Health wants to make it easier for people in the priority groups to get vaccinated.
The high priority groups include: children under five years old, the chronically ill, health-care workers and pregnant women.
Toronto Public Health has also distributed the vaccine to 400 family doctors in the city. So for those who don't want to line-up, they can check to see if their general practioner can give out the shot.
