Three more Canadian solidiers have been killed in Afghanistan
Three Canadian solider's are dead and one has been seriously injured after an explosion in the Zhari District of Afghanistan.
One of the dead soldiers has been identified as Hamilton-native, Sgt. Shawn Eades.
The other two include Sapper Stephan Stock and Cpl. Dustin Wasden.
The four Canadian soldiers were driving along a main road when an improvised explosive device went off near their vehicle.
They were all airlifted to hospital. However, three were pronounced dead shortly after. The fourth solider is expected to survive.
Brig. Gen. Denis Thompson said the three dead soldiers were combat engineers from Edmonton.
"They were a well trained, highly motivated crew that believed in the mission."
This latest attack is sparking fears that the Taliban is gaining more strength.
Since the Afghan mission began in 2002, 93 Canadian soldiers have died.
