My grandfather drew me into the news. In the late-1940s, he moved from Goa, India to the “big” city of Bombay (now known as Mumbai), in search of work, but had limited schooling. So, he educated himself by reading the daily newspaper. He taught me to pay attention to the world I live in — the people, history, and culture that shape its landscape.

I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Toronto and went on to pursue a post-graduate degree in journalism from Ryerson University.

Before joining 680News, I did a brief editorial stint at the CBC, wrote for WeddingBells (U.S.) magazine and was a freelance feature writer for Metro newspaper.

I love to travel and have been to several cities in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
