Barbara Tylbor graduated from Concordia University in 1990 with a Bachelor of
Arts in journalism and started her radio career as the morning traffic reporter
for CJAD and FM96, in Montreal.
She then moved to The Weather Network, where for the next eight years
provided weather forecasts for radio stations in every major market in Canada,
including the then newly-created 680News.
Comfortable in both English and French, she managed The Weather Network and
MeteoMedia radio departments, and moved to Toronto in 1997 to explore radio
sales for the Pelmorex Radio Network. Less than a year later she realized how
much she missed being on air and took a position in television.
Viewers across the country woke up to her every week day on The Weather
Network as host of the Morning Report. Barbara took a break in 2000 for several
years to raise a family, and returned to broadcasting in 2007 as a weather
announcer on 680News. She now has added news anchor to her duties, a return to
her journalism roots.
