Charlene is an award-winning reporter who joined 680News as the '905
reporter' in November 2005 and is thrilled to be sharing the stories of 905-ers
in Durham, York, Peel and Halton Regions.
Charlene spent seven years with 680News' Kitchener affiliate, 570News. She
was part of the team that launched the news/talk radio station in 1997. She also
spearheaded the radio station's coverage of the August 2003 blackout -- coverage
that went on to win an Edward R. Murrow award, a prestigious industry award.
Charlene left Kitchener in 2004 and spent a year working at the national wire
service -- Broadcast News/Canadian Press -- before arriving at 680News. Charlene
enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, reading, playing the
piano poorly and gardening.
