He recently returned to the morning show following a six-year stint as business editor for CTV National News, Newsnet and CFTO.

Mike graduated from Ryerson's radio and television arts program in 1990, specializing in broadcast journalism. While at Ryerson, Mike worked part-time as the market reporter for the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mike also attended the University of Western Ontario, completing fourth-year courses in history and political science.

His broadcast travels have taken him to exotic locales such as Wingham and Barrie. He has also worked for THE FAN 590 and Report on Business Television.

Mike was born and raised in Tillsonburg, Ont., where he embarked on a broadcasting career at the age of 16 at the local radio station, CKOT.
