The Quota Club of Orillia is honoured to present a Classic Christmas with International Welsh Tenor, Gwyndaf Jones, one concert only, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 21st, 2009.
The Quota Club of Orillia is honoured to present a Classic Christmas with International Welsh Tenor, Gwyndaf Jones, one concert only, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 21st, 2009.
Gwyndaf Jones, who has been a lead tenor for the Welsh National, English National and San Francisco Opera Companies, will be performing a beautiful collection of pieces, including some of your Christmas favourites. Joining him will be local youth vocalist Shayla Stevens, and the St. Andrew’s Sanctuary Choir, led by Music Director Marshall Martin. Proceeds from this event support the Quota Club of Orillia, serving the deaf & hard of hearing and disadvantaged women & children.
The show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available for $20 at Curves, Flowers by June, and Audies Hair Design. Please join us for a wonderful evening of music that will touch your heart. Reception to follow.

Gwyndaf was born in North Wales where he began his vocal training both with his mother, Elizabeth Jones, and the late bass baritone, Frank Daniels. In 1987 he won the prestigious Blue Ribband award in the Singer of the World competition held in Cardiff, Wales, which also awarded him a scholarship to the Guild Hall School of Music in London, England.
