Momin Qureshi Nov 25, 2010 09:55:48 AM
Sexual violence is a growing problem in todays world, with kids becoming a growing target.

Now a new video game has been created to try to help prevent sex crimes from occurring.

The game is called 'What It Is.' It aims at teaching young people ages 12 to 25 about the dangers surrounding the diff kinds of sexual violence.

The Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children (METRAC), the not-for-profit organization that created the game.

"The game just explores the definitions of what sexual assault, sexual abuse and consent are, myths and realities about sexual violence, how you can support each other and where you can go for help," said Andrea Gunraj, the outreach director of METRAC.

Gunraj told 680News they chose to make a video game because people can play anonymously as well as use them over and over.

It's available to be played online at metrac.org or can be downloaded directly onto your cell phone.
