About Jill

Jill Taylor has been looking at the sky for as long as she can remember. Her grandfather, a meteorologist and astronomer, answered Jill’s endless questions about clouds, thunderstorms and stars, convincing her from age three that “the sky tells a story!” Jill has been in broadcasting since 1980, with postings in British Columbia and Ontario. She gained forecasting experience while working at The Weather Network and got up close and personal with the weather while working as an air traffic reporter in Vancouver. Jill says you can never stop learning about the weather and continues to add schooling to her BAA degree and her meteorology certificate by attending and taking as many meteorology courses, training sessions and workshops as possible. She’s an endorsed weathercaster with Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) and presents weather workshops. Jill and her husband have two awesome kids. Jill’s favourite charities include the Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
