Traffic Reporter

As a child, Pam always heard the stories about how her father, as a teenager, was on radio with Lorne Greene. That's how she became fascinated with radio, and read with interest Lorne Greene’s handwritten notes on how to be an announcer.

Pam has been involved in radio, television and print in various capacities since 1977. After being surprised with two top awards in Humber College's 1979 Radio Broadcasting class, she did work for CKQT/CKAR in Oshawa, CKFH 1430, CJCL (Metro 1430), the Fan 1430, the CKO Radio Network, CKFM, CJEZ, AM 740 and CKNS/CKJN in Haldimand County. Her responsibilities at these stations were diverse.

She was a morning co-host, newscaster, weather forecaster, traffic reporter, copywriter, foreground material writer and commercial announcer. When Q107 first took to the airwaves, Pam handled some of its market research. She has done network announcing for Global Television and CPAC, and has appeared live on a weekly CFMT Channel 47 TV program, in which she also wrote the script.

Pam is a published newspaper and magazine writer and editor. Her work has appeared in the Toronto Star, the Hamilton Spectator, the Medical Post, Broadcaster, Canadian Living Magazine, Today’s Parent, plus a variety of other publications. While writing and voicing corporate videos and radio commercials, she was also writer and editor of four Metroland arts and entertainment newspapers in the GTA.

Now, she's back in her element -- reporting traffic to weary overnight drivers who would rather be sleeping. As she always says, "Take it easy, drive carefully, and may you get all the green lights."
