Dan Dunleavy is THE FAN 590 afternoon drive sportscaster on Prime Time Sports, as well as at 680News. Dan is the play by play radio voice for the World Junior Hockey Championships on the FAN Radio Network across Canada.

The World Junior experience having taken Dan to Finland, North Dakota, Vancouver and Sweden in 2006-07. Dan has also worked with Rogers Sportsnet on CHL/AHL and NLL broadcasts.

Since 1999, Dan has been the radio play by play voice of the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse league. In 2004, Dan called a NLL game for FOX TV Sports in NY.

During the summer, Dan is the TV play-by-play voice for the Toronto Lynx of the United Soccer League. Also serving as THE FAN 590's summer olympic reporter, Dan has covered the games in 2000 in Sydney Australia; Athens, Greece, and is looking forward to Canada's medal chase in Beijing in 2008. In the winter months, Dan also sevres as a part-time host for Sportsnet's FIS World Cup Skiing coverage with Brian Stemmel. Born in Toronto, Dan grew up in Georgetown, Ont., played soccer in Peel Halton League with the Georgetown Falcons.

Dan's radio career started in Welland, Ont. in 1985, followed by a move to Orangeville in 1987. In 1993, Dan's career came knocking on then FAN 590 program director Alan Davis' desk. It was a three-year stint at Niagara College in Welland that started this journey.
