Peter Gross has been involved with the Toronto media since the early-70s when he latched himself onto the fledgling Citytv. Peter was a reporter with the original CityPulse news, when it came on the air in 1978 and was sports director there in the 80s.

From 1990 until 2000, he was with CFTR and was part of the day one excitement when 680News first hit the airwaves in 1993. He served as sports director until he was lured back to Citytv in 2000, where he served as weekend weather while producing humour stories during the week.

Peter is single, lives with his two children and as many as four cats (depending on who comes in when he opens the door). He has written two unpublished novels and contributes to a number of magazines. In 2006, he won the Jockey Club of Canada's Sovereign Award for 'best feature story of 2005.'

Peter is busy spreading his hard-earned experiences -- he teaches radio news at Seneca College and also teaches sportscasting at the newly formed College of Sports Media. With the 14 minutes left over in his week, Peter is the editor of Down The Stretch, a twice-monthly horse racing newspaper.
