Ann Doose

News Anchor, Midday

Image of Ann Doose

"Ann Doose joined the 680News team in 1999 after cutting her teeth as an award-winning anchor and reporter in such cities as London, for CKSL and Q97.5 FM, and in Barrie for CKBB.

Doose gets to say "This just in..." more than any of her colleagues and says the adrenaline rush that goes with breaking news is one of the big reasons why she loves going into work each day. She calls her perch at the corner of Jarvis and Bloor her "window on the world" -- both figuratively and literally.

With more than 15 years experience in news, Doose admits she's a news junkie, "If I'm not reading a half-dozen newspapers, I'm reading the latest stories on the Internet."

Doose does have a life outside the newsroom. When she's not getting her fingers covered in newsprint, she's relaxing with a good book, spending time at the gym, or travelling with her husband.
