Leah Walker

Leah joined 680News in 1995 as a news editor, and is proud to have guided an award-winning news team for several years. She moved across the newsroom to the business centre the week the Nasdaq hit its all-time high in 2000.
Leah is also an award-winning reporter. Her live-on-the-scene reporting of the crash of Air France flight 358 in August 2005 helped the station win the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' gold ribbon award for breaking news and two Canadian national RTNDA (Radio and Television News Directors Association) awards for 'Best Newscast and Continuing Coverage.'
Leah holds honours degrees in French language and literature from the University of Guelph and in journalism from Ryerson University. She has spent almost 20 years in the communications industry.
Prior to joining 680News, Leah was a business writer and reporter for a variety of print publications. She's also worked as a translator for a multinational corporation, and for the Government of Quebec.
