Truck fire on the westbound 401 at Trafalgar Road

The leftovers of a pick up truck fire on the westbound 401 near Trafalgar Road.

Crews are cleaning up after a pick up truck caught fire on the westbound 401, near Trafalgar Road in Milton.

 

The calls started coming into our traffic centre around 10:30 AM, saying a pick up truck caught fire on the left shoulder.

For a while, only the two left lanes were closed for cleanup, but have since re-opened. The westbound 401 was jammed from Hurontario Street to just west of the Trafalgar overpass for several hours.

No word yet what caused the fire, or if anyone was injured.
