St. George subway station evacuated due to ‘potential threat’

St. George subway station was shut down for almost 90 minutes on Friday night due to a ‘potential threat’ against the station.
Toronto police tell CityNews they were called by the TTC around 10 p.m. following reports of a suspicious package within the station.
Large portions of Line 2 between Ossington and Broadview and Museum to St. Clair West on Line 1 were closed as St. George station was evacuated.
The bomb squad and the K9 unit investigated before determining the situation was safe and service resumed just before 11:30 p.m.
