Police identify 2 suspects sought in playground shooting

Toronto police have released images of two suspects wanted in connection with last week’s playground shooting.

Two sisters, aged five and nine, were were shot at a Toronto playground at around 5 p.m. Thursday at Alton Towers Circle, near McCowan Road and McNicoll Avenue.

Police estimate there were about 11 children playing in the park at the time of the shooting and believe seven shots were fired.

On Tuesday, police said Tarrick Rhoden, 23, and T’Quan Robertson, 23, both of Toronto, are each wanted for discharging a firecarm with intent, attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Rhoden is described as six-foot-one and 181 pounds.

Robertson is described as five-foot-eight and 130 pounds.

Police said both men are considered armed and, if seen, should not be approached.

A third suspect, Sheldon Eriya, 21, of Markham was arrested Saturday and is facing seven charges including two counts of attempted murder.
