Two trees covered in shoes have popped up in the Halton region, but no one knows how the shoes got there.
Footwear for kids and adults, even pairs of ice skates were recently found on a tree on Winston Churchill Boulevard and at 10th Line and 5 Side Road.
Halton police, businesses, and town staff have yet to figure out the origin of the shoe trees.
The Halton region isn’t the first place these mysterious shoe trees have shown up. They have been spotted across Ontario in Springwater Township, Beaverton, Orangeville and Waterloo.
