OTTAWA – Canada’s national annual inflation rate was 2.3 per cent in March, Statistics Canada says. Here’s what happened in the provinces (previous month in brackets):
— Newfoundland and Labrador: 1.6 per cent (1.7)
— Prince Edward Island: 2.4 (3.0)
— Nova Scotia: 2.4 (2.3)
— New Brunswick: 2.5 (2.7)
— Quebec: 1.6 (1.5)
— Ontario: 2.4 (2.1)
— Manitoba: 2.4 (2.4)
— Saskatchewan: 2.9 (2.9)
— Alberta: 2.3 (2.2)
— British Columbia: 2.6 (2.8)
