Peel Regional Police have made an arrest in a stabbing incident this weekend.

Around 10 p.m. on Friday night, two men allegedly got into a fight near Hurontario and King streets and one of the men was stabbed.

The victim walked into a nearby convenience store and asked for help. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to recover.

An arrest warrant was issued for a 35-year-old suspect and police say a tip from the public led them to arrest Daniel Conomy on Sunday. He is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
