Couple sought after man allegedly robbed, assaulted

Toronto police have released images of two suspects after a man was allegedly assaulted after being robbed.

Just before midnight on Dec. 30, the victim was at a restaurant in the Spadina Avenue and College Street area. It’s alleged that a man and woman, who were also inside the restaurant, had stolen the victim’s bag and walked out.

After realizing his bag was gone, the victim then left the restaurant and confronted the pair. At which point, the victim was assaulted.

Police said he sustained minor injuries to his face.

The suspects fled southbound on Spadina and then westbound on Oxford Street.

The male suspect has been described as between 25 and 27, 5’8” with an average build, brown eyes and black hair worn in a bun. He was wearing a brown hooded jacket, dark jeans and carrying a green LCBO bag.

The female suspect has been described as between 25-35, 5’7”, a stocky build and long blonde/brown hair. She was last seen wearing a long grey winter jacket, dark pants and black shoes.
