A 22-year-old woman found dead in an abandoned building downtown was murdered, police say.
Tess Richey was reported missing around 3 a.m. last Saturday after she disappeared from the area of Church and Wellesley streets.
Her body was found in a building in the area around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police didn’t believe her death to be suspicious at the time, but an autopsy found she had died due to “neck compression.”
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
There’s no word yet on any suspects.
