Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Brampton

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton.
Police said it happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Monday in the Queen Street West and Elbern Markell Drive area, near Mississauga Road.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained on scene.
There has been no word on charges.
Queen Street has been closed in both directions between Links Lane and Royal West Drive.
