A man in his 50s has died after a brazen stabbing at a parking lot in Toronto’s west-end, police confirm.

The victim was reportedly stabbed in the chest multiple times near Weston Road and King Street, north of Lawrence Avenue West.

EMS initiated CPR at the scene around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and took the man to Sunnybrook hospital.

Police are investigating the incident as a possible fight, which may have also involved another car.

Police are searching for a red SUV and are investigating a secondary crime scene at an apartment complex just north of where the stabbing occurred.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s to early 30s, five-foot-11 with a slim build and long curly hair. He was wearing all-black clothing and a black toque.

It does seem like there’s been more violence in the last couple of years… It might be because I’m only been aware of it now or truly more violence. I’m inclined to think it’s the former; however, there has been an increase in gun violence which is frightening. That the government must address and it doesn’t matter what race unless you’re an officer you should not have be carrying any weapon.
