Toronto man charged after spitting on parking officer

Police have charged a 47-year-old Toronto man who allegedly spat on a parking enforcement officer.
Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, the officer was ticketing a vehicle near Avenue Road and Bloor Street West, when the driver and passenger approached and started yelling at the officer.
The driver allegedly spat on the officer and then drove off.
Police arrested Eldon Mascoll the next day and charged him with assaulting a peace officer.
He is due in court on Dec. 20.
