Body pulled from river behind 24 Sussex

Ottawa police are investigating after a body was pulled from the Ottawa River behind the official home of the Prime Minister.
Police confirm to 1310 NEWS in Ottawa a body was recovered from the water behind 24 Sussex Drive around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.
The body was floating by and spotted by a fisherman and then recovered by fire crews.
Neither the age nor gender of the person has been released.
The coroner has been called in.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family don’t live at 24 Sussex. They live at Rideau Cottage, a home located on the grounds of Rideau Hall, the Governor General’s residence.
