Both suspects in Dixon Rd. shooting charged with first-degree murder

Two men have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a crash and shooting in Etobicoke last week.

Zayn Q. Chaudry, 19, and Yahya Abdirahman, 20, surrendered to police on Sunday after a warrant was issued for their arrest.

The victim, Abdulkadir Bihi, 29, was found with gunshot wounds in a vehicle in front of a building on Dixon Road around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

He was transported to hospital and later died.

On Saturday night, police executed a search warrant at a condo in Oakville, however investigators say the suspects related to the homicide were not there.

Three other individuals were arrested and a quantity of automatic handguns, drugs and $27,000 in cash were seized.

Liban Hussein, 23, Deshawn Hibbert, 26 and Jamal Hibbert, 30 — all from Toronto — face a total of 45 drugs, weapons and proceeds of crime charges.

Investigators say at this point, the three men arrested are not connected to the death of Bihi.

While one of the three men arrested has ties to the Dixon City Bloods gang, investigators say there is nothing at this point which indicates the death of Bihi was gang related.
