A list of smoke-free post-secondary campuses in Canada

McMaster University in Hamilton has announced plans to make the campus smoke-free in 2018. It is not the first Canadian post-secondary institution to take such a step. Below is a list of other universities and colleges that have adopted 100 per cent smoke-free policies on campus property:

Dalhousie University (Halifax)

Acadia University (Wolfville, N.S.)

Saint Mary’s University (Halifax)

University of King’s College (Halifax)

Memorial University of Newfoundland (with several campuses in Newfoundland and Labrador)

College of the North Atlantic (17 locations across Newfoundland and Labrador)

Holland College (13 locations across Prince Edward Island)

University of Prince Edward Island (Charlottetown)

University of Winnipeg (Winnipeg)

Trinity Western University (Langley, B.C.)

Emily Carr College of Art + Design (Vancouver)

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (Edmonton and St. Albert, Alta.)

Yukon College (Whitehorse)
