Bruce Springsteen will be performing at the Invictus Games closing ceremony in Toronto next month, the organizing committee announced on Monday.

The closing ceremony takes place at the Air Canada Centre on Sept. 30. ‘The Boss’ joins the star-studded lineup that includes Bryan Adams, Bachman and Turner, Coeur de pirate, and Kelly Clarkson.

“At the Invictus Games, it’s not just about the hurdles that competitors experienced during competition, but about overcoming the obstacles that life has presented them,” Springsteen said in a statement.

Sarah McLachlan, Alessia Cara and The Tenors are performing at the opening ceremony on Sept. 23.

Sporting event tickets cost $25 and both opening and closing ceremony tickets start at $60. They are available on the Invictus Games website.

The sporting competition was founded by Prince Harry as a way to inspire and motivate wounded soldiers on their paths to recovery.

The Games will take place in state-of-the-art venues across Toronto from Sept. 23-30.

There will be 550 competitors from 17 countries coming to Toronto to compete in 12 sports, including track and field, swimming and, in a first for the Invictus Games, golf.
