Police seek 6 ‘armed and dangerous’ suspects after Yorkdale mall attack

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying six teen suspects after a 17-year-old boy was viciously attacked at Yorkdale Shopping Centre on June 26.

In a release, police said the suspects stabbed the victim several times and beat him with a collapsible baton.

He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say all of the suspects are wanted for attempted murder. They are all believed to be between the ages of 15 and 18, and police warn that they’re to be considered “armed and dangerous.”

They are described as:

  • Suspect 1: Male, black, light-skinned, approximately six foot tall, medium-to-heavy build, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, red shirt, armed with a knife
  • Suspect 2: Male, black, dark-skinned, prescription glasses, last seen wearing a dark-coloured ROOTS hooded sweatshirt, armed with a collapsible baton
  • Suspect 3: Female, white, thin build, long straight dark hair, last seen wearing a Levi’s T-shirt, yellow hooded sweatshirt
  • Suspect 4: Male, white, olive complexion, last seen wearing a white-brimmed baseball hat, blue hooded sweatshirt
  • Suspect 5: Male, black, light-skinned, short dark curly hair, prescription glasses, last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket, white T-shirt, grey pants
  • Suspect 6: Male, white, olive complexion, wearing prescription glasses, last seen wearing two-toned blue hooded jacket, backpack with orange straps.
