Police have identified a suspect wanted for attempted murder and numerous drug and weapons charges in connection with a North York shooting.
One man was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after police responded to a call in the St. Dennis Drive and Linkwood Lane area around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
Police say a male suspect fled the scene in a grey car described as a 2017 Dodge Charger with licence plates BRFK-061.
He’s been identified as 22-year-old Di’on Jahil Wong. He is described as black, five-feet-eight, weighing 146 pounds with short curly black hair. He was last seen wearing all black clothing with a black handgun.
A search of his home turned up a quantity of crack cocaine, a shotgun, a bulletproof vest, homemade ammunition and drug making paraphernalia.
Police say Wong is considered armed, violent and extremely dangerous and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
