A Toronto paramedic was one of two people killed in a crash in Haliburton over the weekend.
George Eliadis was killed, a spokesperson for Toronto Paramedics Services confirmed. The name of the second person has not been released.
The fatal collision happened on Highway 118 between Trappers Trail and Essonville Line around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Ontario provincial police believe that the driver of a sedan, who was heading east, crossed the centre line and hit four motorcycles that were travelling west. The motorcyclists were in a larger group of seven riders.
Two of the motorcyclists, including Eliadis, were killed. Two other people had life-threatening injuries and remain in hospital in Toronto.
It’s not yet known if any charges are pending.
