Personal support worker at Markham hospital charged with sexual assault

A 53-year-old Richmond Hill man who works as a personal support worker at Markham Stouffville Hospital is facing sexual assault charges.
He’s accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female volunteer at the hospital.
It is not clear when the assault happened, but York regional police launched an investigation on June 1.
Ali Taheri was arrested on June 22 and charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
York regional police released his photo on Monday, in an attempt to determine if there are any other potential victims. Police say he had access to vulnerable patients.
Taheri appears in a Newmarket court in Newmarket on July 28.
