2 men arrested for multiple armed robberies, 46 charges laid

Two Toronto men have been arrested for multiple armed robberies in the GTA and face a total of 46 charges between them.

Toronto police along with Peel Regional police and York Regional police conducted an investigation that spanned over six weeks, leading to the arrests on Thursday.

Police say the two men would stalk their victims outside banks and then violently rob them when they entered the bank vestibule. The men were allegedly armed with a firearm and hatchet-style knife during the robberies.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, Mohamad Farah, 20, and Mohamed Ulusow, 22, were arrested. They were charged with 12 counts of robbery with a firearm, 11 counts of robbery with an offensive weapon and 23 counts of disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence.

They were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
